03 Gt problems
So my car was stalling and backfiring when I would start it up. I took it to 2 different mechanics who couldn't figure out the problem so I took it into the dealership where I bought it and found out that my warranty was void. I left it with them for a week and they wound up finding a lot of stuff wrong (or so they said). I paid $960 for them to replace a bunch of stuff. I got it home and it did the exact same thing it backfired and died. So I searched my butt off, looking for posts on here with the same problem and found out that it could just be the regulator in my alternator. I took my alternator to a shop had them check it out and sure enough that was the problem. A $60 fix that turned out to be $1020

Wow, I learned something new lol. I've never heard o2 sensors called hego's. That really sucks man, I guess you live and you learn. You should throw a rock through one of the new cars windows thats sitting on thier lot, it would probably make you feel better anyways lol.
Thanks for the compliment on the exhaust man.

HEGOS = Heated Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor, that's what they are called in the factory manuals.
To the OP, I doubt very much they "put on some mil's" in what is the classic meaning of "MILs" (MIL eliminators) in the forums--that would be a violation of Federal law which could cause them to lose their dealership. Most likely the "cleared MILs".
In any event $960 for the work they did makes MY butthole hurt, and they did it to you--must be one of those sympathetic pains....
