Default Cobra or GT engine???

On my '97 Mustang, I noticed that I had a small amount of anti-freeze under the car when I parked it for a while. What I thought was a leaking valve, due to a recent radiator flush, turned out to be coming from around the oil filter. Did stock '97 GT come with an oil cooler?
I am not the original owner, so I do not know if there was an engine swap early in its life.
I removed the oil fill cap and noted the following number "F1AE-6B280". "7A837AC" is the number on the sticker on the valve cover. Not sure where the engine number is on the block.
Any help on these numbers would be great. I would like to modify the car, but I am unsure of what I have to start with.
On a different side note: would like to know if anyone with a stock 97GT with a manual transmission does about 2100 RPS in 5th at 70MPH? I think the rear has been swapped for a 3.73.

Yes, that speed/RPM is about right for stock gearing . I switched to 3:73's and hardly noticed any difference . A few hundred at most . And yes that is a 2v engine .
