Default Powershifting

I'm sure we all know what it is and I've tried doing it once long ago and screwed up and I bounced off the limiter and smelt clutch. I never did it again until just tonight when I decided to give it a try since I've picked up so much experience with my car since my first attempt.

I tried it about 4 times in a row...1st to 2nd

The first time it went in so smooth that for a second I thought I didn't even make 2nd and was just in neutral. The second time I ****ed up...the 3rd time I got it in just fine right before the rev limiter but I heard some synchro noise (or something) and the 4th time was like the 3rd except I hit the limiter.

It's some pretty crazy ****. I go to the track almost once a week and I'm thinking about giving it a try once...just a 1st to 2nd since going into 3rd is alittle harder in my car. Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to better do it? Or is it just all in the matter of pumping the clutch as fast as possible?

I don't plan on doing it very often at all and I hate to be practicing in my car. Like I said I hit the rev limiter a few times and bounced off it once...i'm kinda afraid I might have messed something up. What do you guys think?

Thanks,
Brandon

if you hit the rev limiter powershifting i think you need to stop driving a stick car (especially if you cant hit third with a short shifter).... youre gonna break it because you dont know how to drive....please dont do it at the track, that wouldnt be fair to everyone else who has to sit there and wait while the track crew cleans your tranny fluid off the track

powershifting is hard on a car

and its also very easy....just floor it and shift without lifting.... if you cant shift that fast, you dont need to be attempting it

the t3650 is known for syncro problems without the abuse of powershifting. keep that up and you will have an expensive project on your plate real soon.

I swore off power shifting when I tore out the engine and transmission (before rev limiters) on a car. It's very hard on transmissions.

I only do it going 3-4, if i do it 1-2 the tires break loose and it does me no good. 2-3 i just shift normal.

Are you one of those people who try to give advice which you know will never be taken?
