Roush supercharger questions!
I have a 2004 base Roush (not supercharged or anything) and id like to supercharge it. Couple questions:
One, is the RoushCharger the way to go? I'd like to keep the Roush integrity of the car if i can, but Ill spend close to an extra $4000 for hte Roushcharger as opposed to a Paxton or something else.
Two, I wanted to install the supercharger kit while I was home on 2 weeks of leave from Iraq. Is this a project someone of average mechanical knowledge can do? or should I seek a professional to do it for me?

1) yes the roush s/c is good. although it is not the most powerful. i am assuming you have the stock block so you will only be limited to 400 hp/tq or so. the roush s/c will get you there. as far as making huge hp/tq numbers, the blower will need to be ported, built motor, ect... i think the most hp/tq out of the roush s/c to date is close to the 600hp/tq mark. the other brands that you listed will do the same thing as the roush s/c but for 1/2 the price. so it will be up to you on wether you want to spend the money just for the roush name. i refused to and went with the KB with no regrets.
2) Do it yourself. you will be able to install most s/c kits in one weekend. they are fairly easy as long as you can follow instructions. you do not need to be a mechanic in order to do it. my father and i did my KB install in 2 days(took our time) with basic tools.
