Default blacked out rear decklid question

what kind of paint did you guys use to black your rear decklids out and lower rear valence and all that stuff. like are you guys going to a place and having it painted and cleared and everything or are you guys just like using flat black spraypaint, lol. just curious cuz i was gonna do it and dont know what route everyone went

I used vinyl on mine. It has stayed on perfectly for over a year and if I ever felt the need to take it off I could. The deck lid vinyl was a pain in the *** to install though.

I just used rustoleum flat black spray paint on mine. Been there for two years and looks like the day I did it.

mustangman, did you just tape up the area around the panel and spray out of the can or did you have a spray gun? cause it looks really good. If you wouldn't mind doing a quick rundown of the steps that would be awesome

I took the deck lid off taped off what I wanted to paint, used a green scratch pad to scuff it up, cleaned it and sprayed it out of a can.
