Default Yet...another exhaust question

I have a stock exhaust on an 04 GT with the only mods being a K&N drop-in. I want something slightly louder while freeing up the flow and still keep the price down (Times ain't what they used to be). I'm thinking of putting on an O/R X pipe with stock mufflers and MILs to pass state inspection here in NC. My question is what result will I get going with an O/R pipe and stock mufflers. I want it slightly louder but not annoying. I've searched and can't seem to find any post where someone has gone that route. Will I still get good flow with stock mufflers?

I like my SLP Loud Mouth's but they are a love it or hate it type of exhaust...some say they are annoyingly loud and raspy, and they are a bit raspy. I haven't heard of anyone doind an OR X with stock cat back but I'm sure it has been done.

Where in NC are you?

I like the SLP LM1 with their catted X, but the damn thing drags b/c it doesn't fit right. I am having my exhaust shop modify it when I am back with my car in June.

stock sounds pretty decent with OR x. thanks for picking up the slack for my laziness 98mustanggt

Dont get SLP unless you like connecting a bunch of pieces ( it it still comes that way ). I think would say borla but since you wanna keep the price down I would go with the mac catback.
