Default Looking for ideas on my 96 Mustang GT Vert...

Ok...I'm just testing the waters here right now...I'm really debaiting wether to supercharge, turbo, or leave the car N/A...Well at least do one of em when I have the money...I'm about to get about $1500 in a few months that I can use to upgrade...I'm getting horrible gas milege right now and can't really think why...Car is stock other than a Bassani o/r H-pipe and dual-chamber Flowmasters...It also has less than 100k miles...Any help with ideas on the mods or why the car gets such horrible milege will be appreciated.

You should use that money to fix the bad components and get a tune. we would need more info to suggest anything else but that's where I'd start.

All of the gauges read normal...I have good injector pressure and far as I can tell, no fuel leaks...I know the automatic GT's don't get that great of mileage in city driving, but my car gets around 16mpg highway...That's doing 70mph on I 24...I've already got an SCT xcalibrator 2 tuner which I can't use, it's got a tune for an 01 GT that had a 5.0 stroker motor...Don't happen to know how to get the tune out do ya so I can use it on my car?

Yeah, That tuner wont work with your car. Your best bet is to have it dyno tuned. What gears do you have?

Not really sure what it has for gears...I've had a friend tell me they're probably not the stock ones and another friends say they are stock...I am kinda thinking about doing the PI swap, getting a better tb, underdrive pulleys, and a cold air kit.

If you're going to go through the trouble, save up and either buy a full PI engine or a cobra engine. Although the PI swap is cheaper it'll breathe new life into that 96.

IDK why so many people think changing heads is easier than pulling the motor.

Do you know of any decent sites that sell engines other than Local Sales Network, Craigslist, or ebaymotors?

car-parts.com Search by distance and price. It's an online db of salvage yards.
