while were on machine shops what all should you get done to one, also would it be cheaper to buy a short block im getting ready to do the samething if you buy a new shortblock from mmr or somewhere like that do thye flycut their pistons also does anyone know anything about KT Engines in Charlotte NC i think i said it all.

Yea. Supposedly they hold 1500 hp

Teksid blocks were made in Italy by the same engine manufacturer as Ferrari gets their motors from. They are waaaaay better than iron blocks.

You don't need to flycut pistons if you go with CMS 2.5 blower cams.

never seen a real world differences other than nominal weight... and higher cost both to machine and purchase

Really? If that's the case than why would I pay for it if I don't have to?

Not sure if the 2v stuff is different when it comes to piston cc>compression ratios but if they are the same then those pistons have waaaay too much of a dish for running a centri blower. I went with 11 cc pistons which gave me a 9:1 comp ratio and I now wish I would have gone with a 9.5.

Yea 4v is different than 2v. My compression should be around 8.8 with my 2v heads.

Go at least 9.5 or your going to make quite a bit less power compared to what you did with a stock motor and same boost levels.
