I have Patriot heads on my car and... *RANT ON*

In short THEY SUCK, When I go them I did a quick run through to see if i saw anything obviously wrong with them and they looked ok (to me). So I put them on, no real immediate issues.

But the heads had bad valve guides so i was getting oil smoke on cold start up.

So I took the heads to a machine shop to get the valve guides re-done, the machinist pointed out that one of the valve keepers were missing off several of the valves.

After all that with the car finally back together I was still having problems getting it to run 100% right so I did a compression test and found that several of the cylinders were pulling ridiculously low number.

So I pulled the heads again and found that the valve lengths were out by so much that some of the valves were being kept slightly open by the base circle of the cams which was killing the compression.

So I right now I am having the valves re-done to hopefully end all of these issues.

I may be an isolated indecent, but IMO that is a pretty big series of issues to go wrong.... I guess thats just my luck!

*END RANT*

I don't have super high hopes, I think they will likely be better than what is currently available but I doubt that it will come close to rivaling the 4v's
