Looking at getting this GT
I haven't seen anyone suggest this nor have I seen you say anything about it... have you ever thought about going with C5 LS1 vette? You can find some of these with 40k-60k miles on them still in good condition for some pretty cheap prices. You would have the LS1 power which is nice and you will be lighter than the camaro or WS6's running around. Unless you just hate the way vettes look, its something to consider.
I know this is a mustang site, but just me... I would just move on from the 2V platform. Nothing wrong with it, but theres other platforms that are just as good or better to start out on. Something to consider, if you buy a GT and want a Cobra, Mach I, etc. down the road... you are going to have to sell it and right now is not a good time for sellers. If you get the car you really want now, just stick with it and mod it to your tastes.

And I totally agree with you in sticking with A car. I'm def not gonna settle on just any car. The GT I was looking at had everything that I love about Mustangs. Now that it is gone, I've been looking more into Cobras in Machs
Alright here a few new ones: Not sure if the Bullitt is still around, can't get a hold of the owner.
The dealer with the Cobra called me back today. So i'll be talking with them shortly

haha! you're actually right on.....i want a 4v, but the only thing that stops me from settling on a 4v is they don't seem to be as nice (paint, interior, etc.) So that's why I keep throwing a 2v in there. Low miles and good looking. Otherwise...I WANT a 4v.
Wouldn't insurance just be ridiculously high?!?! I love vettes, but i don't think it's very likely that I will be able to get one.

You would think the insurance would be higher... but its not. I had an 04 Cobra about 2 years ago and I was paying $110 a month and I was 25 and single. That was with me getting a discount with the insurance because I knew the guy all my life. When I got my vette... it went down to $70 a month. I'm not sure about insurance compared to a GT, but I know my Z06 was ALOT cheaper to insure than my cobra was.
Another thing about the vette is the gas mileage you will get. When I first bought it, I was crusing down the interstate at 70mph and I was getting 28-30 mpg in my Z06. See if any cobra can even get close to that. Mine only could get 17-18mpg at best on easy driving. Just something to think about.
Well you said it, you want a 4v lol. So buy one and don't settle for less. If the paint is faded or interior is dirty or stained that can all be fixed with some tlc. Use a little new finish, clay bar and nice wax on the paint and it will look good as new.

Well, I probably paid more than I should have for it... but it was everything that I was looking for. 10k miles, no racing, close to stock and it very good condition. Electron Blue tended to be harder to find cheap than some of the other colors. And this was before the economy took a dump. I paid $30k for it. This is also the LS6 motor, mine should've dynoed around 375 rwhp.
You can find Z06's anywhere from $18k-$23k all day long with 15k-50k miles on them. But some of the 98-01 C5's with the LS1 motor, you should be able to find them anywhere from $11k-$15k with less than 60k miles on them.
