Default headlight covers

ok so i tried searching....and i only got 15 hits, and none of them were about headlight covers....i hate search on this site.... anyways.... anyone have pics of their car with covers? hows night visibility?

i have my stock lights, im debating covering them.... i was gonna order another set of tinted clear corner lights, but AM is sold out so i started looking at covers... im worried i wont be able to see at night, and this car is going to be driven a LOT at night.... the tint was fine to see through, but im thinking i may want darker

and not to be rude, but dont post what youve heard, or how you think they look cheap, etc...just personal experience....and yes, i know i can get the smoked lights from other sites than AM, just exploring my options since my stock headlights look like junk

and no, i dont want stick on tint...i did that for my tails and it looks like garbage lol

You're def going to NEED HID's... Kid i know down the street has the covers on his black GT.. it looks killer, but you'll def need some brighter lights for nighttime.

and the ebay lights are the same thing as the AM lights or so i've heard.. same manufacturer and everything

I forget how he popped them off, but he took em off in like 20 seconds...

i think he popped the hood and unhooked them?

Yes i know from first-hand experience. His stock lights with the covers really didnt shine through at all.. He woulda been better off keeping his lights off and using the relfection of the moon to guide him. Not really, but you get the point.

And my tinted clear corners (which aren't as dark as the covers) needed HID's to be able to see well...

This is just my opinion though. I'm sure some people have the covers on and think the lighting is sufficient enough. Me personally though, I think you will need new lights that produce more light output.. just my .02

Get HID's anyway... who cares if they aren't in projectors. just dont aim them up

go to the S/S section and PM SOLDIERGT or something liek that.. he has them on his car... ask him how visibility is with stock lights and how they come off, etc etc

EDIT: To comment on your below post,

ddmtuning.com

oh, and HIDs are outta my price range....although, if i got a cheap set of HIDs, and a set of covers, it wouldnt cost any more than the tinted clear corners...

anyone got a link to a decent HID kit, and not the $300 dual stage crap... just a simple HID kit

and links to covers? i only found them on 2 sites and the sites were confusing as hell to navigate
