rear decklid options....
I have a dilemma, i love the look of my mustang without the rear spoiler, but there are scratches that are way to plentiful and deep to buff out, located around the base of where the spoiler sits, it looks hideous when standing near it. Also, there are the pesky 6 holes from the mounting of the spoiler. I tried putting the black fasteners in the holes like some of the guys have done, but hated the look. So right now its got nothing in the holes and the wing is off. From 20' away it looks great,...just not up close. So my thought was this, since i am on a budget. Would it be possible to use black vinyl, such as the one in the link in this post, to black out the top of the decklid? would it look stupid? im just looking for options and any ideas would be appreciated. I really like the look of no spoiler...any thoughts guys?

When i took off my wing to puit on my s281, my decklid was all scratched up/faded... we went sanded and then compounded it, and it looked like new.
but that is probably a different story. If i were you, i would try to save up to get the decklid re-painted... =/

hmmm well to be truthful the whole car needs repainted, you cant see it from the pics but there lots of flaws, scratches, clear coat bubbled through and faded, etc etc. but i was hoping for something to hold me off until then. I was wanting to do the center of the deck lid where the after market honeycomb insert goes as well. i dunno..
