Default Do I dump the $ on a CB of just mufflers?

I found a set of Original 40 Series Flowmasters shipping for $100 to my door. I can get them welded in for like $80. So that would be $180 vs. like $370 for an American Thunder cb. It does have a deeper tone due to the Super 40's and I really like the idea of getting the entire system and getting rid of the factory crap. However, I do like the idea of a lot less money. I need some advice.

Go with the catback ts only 100 bucks more. Or shop around you might be able to pick one up used for cheaper.

Yeah I am going both ways because my brother had MAC LT's, MAC o/r H and welded in Super 40's and it sounded great. Thats almost the same setup I want to do but I just don't know if I want to dump the extra money on a full cat back. I love the idea of a new system and I think it has a little deeper sound vs. the stock cat back, for the Super's and tubing in general.

catback all the way. Or if you do just do mufflers, I think you should at least invest on some tips or something. The stock exhaust looks kinda weak imo.

Idk I really dont mind the stock tips. I REALLY want the newness of the American Thunder cat back but I REAAAAALLLLLY want the cheapness of just mufflers. I think thats what I am going to do...

i welded in my flows as well. but by the time i screwed around getting the angle, length, clearance etc just right i wish i'd bought the catback. install time would of been 1hr vs. 3 and saved myself alot of aggravation lol

but if someone else is welding it together, save your cash and wits. lol
