Default Typhoon intake manifold is here....

i know i know ... ive heard a lot of mixed reviews about it but considering i needed a new manifold since the stocker is cracked and gushing coolant all over the engine bay i decided to go ahead and upgrade to the professional products typhoon intake manifold.i do realize i am going to get little to no gains at the moment but i do plan on going forced induction by the end of the year. i also plan on doing cams and heads on my car when i go vortech so i should be able to utilize the 6500 rpm for the extra 21+/- rwhp it gains.picked it up brand new for 370 free shipping from the intake manifold fairy, so i figured for a few bucks over a new PI replacement manifold id upgrade to this one. it will be going in sunday and i will then post an un biased review on it.

You will hear mixed reviews! I thought i had cracked my stocker so i upgraded to the Typhoon. I lost a little power, but I don't have to worry about a crack. Now that I got married, i'm scraping for MOD CASH.......lol

You feel like you lost a little bit of power? In a few months I was going to look into a metal intake since I will be running nitrous soon. I was looking into the Edelbrock manifold but dont want to swap throttle bodies and all that.

And to the OP, where did you get it for that price? A private sell? For that price I would actually buy one of them.

though about opening up the manifold and polish it up on the inside or check for any casting defects that can be sanded down.

I know its off topic, but MMR sells and adapter plate for the Edlebrock 2V intake that lets you use your factory style TB and TB elbow. They also have a fuel rail kit a good bit cheaper than Edlebrock.
