Default LT installation prices

I was wondering what everyone was paying for their longtubes to be installed? I had originally thought about doing it myself with some help from a couple buddies of mine but I've heard it's a pain in the ***

yea it is a PITA....i had a buddy get em done on his cobra for $1200, that was a super clean nice job..dropped the k memeber....all that bs...if you plan to do it with some buddies...plan ont he car being out for the count for a weekend....goodluck figure the $800 to $1200 range

now was that 800-1200 including the price of the headers? or just for installation?

haha ready for this....just for installation....they really hammer you because it is very labor intensive...only one of my buddys did it on his 02 gt....while the motor was int he car..it took him 12 hrs and 3 cases of beers...according to him...he said it was the biggest bitch...so yea its 8-12 on top of the cost of headers..

Just DIY. If I was able to do it on my 4v you can do it on your 2v.

i was quoted $450 install on mid length headers, which are about as labor-intensive as long tubes from what ive heard

I just was quoted 650. I wasn't anticipating the custom tune that is going to have to go alone with that as well, not sure why I didn't factor that in originaly when I bought the headers.

Damn I charge $300 for a longtube install. I need to raise my prices.

Seriously the tools needed to do it your self cost alot less then paying somebody to do it.
