Default drag suspension

Ok what is the best suspension setup for a 2000 gt for the track?? Spring is here and need to shut up the chevy guys over here....

My setup works well and is pretty cheap. I set the front loose and the rear tight to prevent squating.

Front: Lakewood 90/10 drag struts
4 cyl fox body springs (cut)
no front swaybar

Rear: Tokico (bullitt) shocks
FRPP "C" springs (dead coil cut)
UPR Chromemoly DBL ADJ UCAs with spherical bushings, pinion angle set at -2.5*
UPR Chromemoly Solid LCAs

This will give enough weight transfer to hook up and pull the wheels up.

Seems a lot like mine. Do this and it'll HOOK!


Suspension:

Fox-body 4cyl springs(NAPA #270-3060) up front w/ Lakewood 90/10 struts
Fox-body V8 rear springs (cut)
KYB AGX adjustable rear shocks
Airbag in RR spring
No front swaybar
No rear swaybar
UPR sub-frame connectors
UPR Pro Series Lower Control Arms, solid/spherical ends
UPR Pro Series adjustable uppers, spherical ends
Jegs Poly axle bushings
Torque boxes welded
No quad shocks

I would give you my suspension setup but most people don't want to spend that amount of money.

Stick with the two above and you will hook pretty good as long as you got good tires.

what does cutting the fox springs do to performance, i mean does it harm it

A slight cut doesn't hurt the performance at all. I trimmed 1/2 turn to get the ride height i wanted.

im doing this with a stock motor... 4.10s and an o/r x pipe


i have stock springs all around 90/10s, 50/05s and summit uppers/lowers... but see my other thread about what i did to the control arms, id get something better for a control arm... listen to jayc and 02gt4.6 about the CAs
