Do it, it'll look good but I hope your wheels are at least 18's. The 17's will draw the eye inward and "appear" like 16's if they are any smaller.

if you do go yellow i'd leave EVERYTHING else black EXCEPT maybe some small interior pieces, maybe do the yellow LCD conversion to your gauge cluster.

I was thinking what else I could paint yellow to go with the rims, (yeah, that bumble bee look). A friend of mine does graffics. I was thinking of having him make something up along the bottom of the door. Maybe some graffics and the word ROUSH " in yellow". There is a point you can reach where you've gone too far with the color scheme, I don't want to go beyond it. This has been on my mind all day at work. Trying to put it together in my head ache.

Red sounds better to me, just seems to go better with red. The only thing that would save you from looking weird is if you had one or two other small yellow components on the outside, and even then... bumble bee colors. It can be done if you're stylish enough with it, 'cause otherwise it'll end up stand out in a bad way.
Thats what I'm after. Maybe some thing like the "HEMI" along the rear quarter of the challanger.
I was never a big fan of red and black together. My calipers are factory aluminum color not painted. I will paint them black before I put the rims back on though.
I can see a yellow stang w/ black racing stripes but black w/yellow has now become visible thanks to the power of captain morgan and it would look hideous.

So since I'm laid off and I have all the time in the world, I decided to play with my rims. I opted out with the yellow lip look.
So I took one of my spare rims and sanded down the clear coat on the outer lip and around where the center cap goes. Wet sanded my &ss off then polished them until I ran out of polish and painted them black.

STOCK LOOK.

THE NEW LOOK..

3 more to go. I hope I have finger nails once I'm done..

that actually looks really good so far. What sand paper, primer, paint did you use? I might consider doing this myself

I used 240 grit to take 98% of the clear coat off then I used 400 grit to take it down smooth then 1000 grit to get rid of the fine scratches then I used Mothers Mag & Aluminum wheel polish, until I ran out. I just got more today.
The paint is a high temp. paint from Rustoleum. no primer needed. I hit the anthracite with some 400 grit to scuff it up and painted it.

So use the 240, 400, and 1000 grit sand papers then the mothers then 400 grit and finally paint it? correct order?

Well, to finish the outer lip I used 240 grit then 400 then 1000. I was going to use 600 inbetween but I ran out. I polished it up with aluminum polish. For the rest of the painted rim I scuffed it up with the 400 grit and painted it with the black paint.
