Default ignition switch installation...

i have a 98 mustang gt and i want to put an ignition switch in it. if anyone has done it or knows how, please help. some guys on the svt forums claim it cant be done but......it can, thats all there is to it. i just dont quite understand wiring and stuff like that, i'm a kid. Thanks for any help!

not something i would attempt if i were you,...yes it obviously can be done. You have to remove the steering column, steering wheel, a whole bunch on bologna if its anything like the ford contour we did. let a dealer do it.

Are you trying to install a new tumbler? What does the part you have look like... give me a picture and Ill tell you how to install it

I've taken my ignition all apart as well while putting my remote start in. What exactly are you looking to replace?
