I found an old issue of MM & FF where they tested a gt auto
It ran a 14.1@99.6 and put down 215 HP and 265 ft lbs.

I also found an issue of car and driver, they ran a15.1@93 and did 0-60 in 6.3

I have a 2002 GT auto and bone stock went 14.29@98. With a 2 stupid boltons (BBK CAI and catback) my best is 14.01@99. And I have had many other 14.0 passes.

Oh and diesels really aren't that quick. They have so much torque but no top end what so ever. They only have that much torque due to being built more for heavy duty hauling.

I ran 14.1 in my convertible, but had a .07 reaction time. At that time, I had an SCT tune and thats it. did this Cecil county, MD

Check out this article from TCI on how they got a slightly (Cams, Intake, and 4.10s) modded 99GT with an auto into the the high 12s with a new converter and their shift kit. The car ran 13.88 with the mods and once the new converter was installed and shift kit, the car ran 13.48 at an 3,400 feet above sea level.... convert that to sea level and that is 12.90s.
May be worth the money?????

u do know ford lightnings can hit 12s (high 12s) stock? and have the potential to go just as fast if not faster than any Diesel.
