engine swap help
i was looking at putting the new 3 valve motor in my 96 mustang gt or even a cobra or mach 1 motor in. i was just wandering the things that would not cross over such as i know the computer box will have to change in the vehicle due to diffrent data but do i need the wireing harness to change as well? what other things would have to be changed?
i am under the impression i can pull a 3 valve motor from the newer modles with its computer box and be fine....is this nieve of me?

the 3V will be fine, but I doubt you can keep the VVT (Variable valve timing) The Throttle body will have to be switched out for a cable design rather then electronic.
That bening said, HOSS is right the 4V motor will require less tweaking and make more power.

a built 2v is alot Im looking at a lincol whole car so i can use it as my insurance car for a 1000 so it has everything needed for the swap all i need is motor mounts, few other things but i mean that lincoln motor is like 289hp and then with a cobra blower when i figure out how to make it work will be like 390hp with different pullies few other mods thats a 500hp motor for less than a built 2v
