Cool Future Refrence Question

Whats up guys I got a 2000 2v Mustang Gt and I was wondering how hard would it be to change out the heads and cams on it I wanna do the patriot heads and the comp cams and also would the motor have to be removed for such a task? Thanks in Advance

Yes, pull the engine. Would you be doing this yourself so that you just wanna see how hard it is or do you need to know how much labor would cost for the install? A "b" level tech, it would take between 11 and 16 hours of work to do the heads and cams.

I think you should pull the engine, but when you do it take before and after pictures for your records and to check if you forget where something goes. Also, take your time, dont mess that up you don't want to blow a head gasket or anything like that.

Step 1 in the factory shop manual's description of head removal is "1. Remove the engine."
