which is better?
The only factor it depends on is $.
Pushrod motors are:
Cheaper to build
Easier to build
Slightly lower in HP from the start
Mod motors are:
VERY expensive to mod/fix
Not as abundant in parts
A little bit quicker stock for stock
The 5.0 is a great motor. Stroke it to a 347 with some good heads and intake and cam and you will pretty much beat most of the GTs on the road lol.

man, thanks for all tha input guys! i was jus wandering cause im bout to put alot of $$$$ into my 00' gt inside n out. and before i jumped into which way to go w/my motor options, i was was just checkin around ! decisions decisions! do we love our cars or what! i dont put this much thinkin into tha girls i go out with!! lol!
i would go with the 5.0 hands down. if you want more power down the road, a big inch windsor is basically a bolt-in upgrade.
don't waste your time with a 2V.
lol at whoever put the PI 2V 4.6 over a 5.0. to each his own i guess.
