Default NEW BRAKES FOR MY 04, tips welcome

So, I need some new brakes on my 04 GT, and was looking at upgrading rather than just doing it up OEM style... i'm at 41k so it's def. time for new brakes...

I was looking at the Powerslot rotors and then the Hawk ceramic pads... anyone have any experience with these? Should I do the ceramic pads, or just the HPS... or even just OEM pads... I hate brake dust... and with ceramics they require a longer warming up period to work effectively, correct?

thanks d00dz

spend 350 and go to buyfordracing.com and get the 10th anniversary cobra front brakes. That will be a nice upgrade.

Im a fan of ceramic pads myself, i do not like slotted or drilled rotors. Stick with OEM rotors and save some dough, just get a quality set of ceramic pads from ebc or hawk or the likes.

I've had both and I like the ceramic pads better. They put out way less dust. When I changed the pads out I put in new brembo rotors also, and I could feel the differents as soon as I touched the brakes.

What type of Brembo rotors did you install? Have you had them long? I have had issues with cracking in mine slotted/drilled rotors from EBC that I had on my Ranger. But the ceramic pads I have used were great.

yea I heard slotted is the way to go on brakes... when you get drilled is when they start cracking.
