Default Home Made Intake

yeah i drive a 2000 Mustang GT V8 stick, recently put a mach 3 hood on it, now all i have to do is make the scoops on it functional. I'd rather make my own intake system than buy it. does anyone know if a Lowes or Home Depot would have the correct supplies to make it. if not maybe a website where i can buy it. All i really need is duct work for the scoop, the actual pipe i know where to get. any idea's? thanks very much for all your input.

Are you trying to make a "ram air" set up? Ram air is a clever marketing term that made people think they could ram air into their engine just by driving and make more power. But air moving thru your intake travels at close to the speed of sound so unless you can drive at the speed of sound your not going to ram anything. So just open the scoops and let the cool air blow on your intake, you will get more benefit from it.

LOL I was trying to be nice to the new guy by not commenting on his choice of hoods but I knew someone was gonna say something.
