Can't go wrong with carfax. And $6000 for a 97 GT is pretty pricey. I see 96 and 97 GTs for under $5000 all day. I picked up my 96 GT for $3000 with only 76K on it. Some body damage, but nothing major.

I test drove a Cherry low mileage 97 GT and the guy only wanted 4200.

negative ghost rider, stay away from that deal. find another cobra with a 4v, hence the reason for buying a cobra.

Pretty sad IMHO. with more pics of the exterior and interior we could tell(and engine bay). Now that you carfaxed it, stay away. Too pricy too.

keep searching...the right car will eventually pop up. just don't jump the gun because you are excited about something. buying things in this manner (for me anyways) has almost always lead to disappointment.

8th digit in the VIN. If it's a V, then it's a cobra, if it's a X, then it's a GT.

you got the X part right, but it's actually a Y for a cobra.
