DD drag suspension Qs?
^ I recommend you DON'T get the LCA's from UMI...
They have a spherical bushing, yes.... but on the wrong end, IMO:

With the bearing on the axle end, the sway bar will still "fight" normal articulation of axle due to the mount-plates. The plates remain perpendicular to the car while the sway bar wants to remain parallel with the axle. This creates un-natural resistance and will not be as free to move as one with a bearing on the torque-box end.
I would also rather see the UPR ones as they appear to have some additional gusseting for strength.
Jazzer regrets his disagreement with Teej, yet he must

Thanks guys. As for my few disagreements, the lowers. I read on the baseline website that their upper kit will work better with a jacker style LCA or coilovers, as it provides a way to change the ride height and adjust instant center in conjunction with the uppers. But I want to go solid and I didn't see the HPMs in that configuration. The car will eventually have coilovers. As for going with UPR over Baseline, I recall a thread saying the owner of Baseline admitted that the aluminum rod ends were not very durable and recommended buying a different set of lowers to go with his uppers.
BTW, the majority of the reason I created this thread other than the sway bar was durability, that is a big issue to me. Can anyone attest to what kind of wear time I can expect to see out of the solid ends?

You won't get your answer here. What you will get is hearsay and internet BS. I have the UPR sphericals but have only a few thousand miles on them. I will replace the uppers with Baselines as soon a funds permit. Weight jackers would be nice IF you don't care about ride height and have the knowledge to adjust the IC etc. BTW, the only UPR breakage I know of is their poly "street/strip" bushings.
I'm not saying that he didn't. It almost brought a tear to my eye, he always seems like the mellow one that you need to watch out for. You know, like one of those old men that goes crazy and shoot up a place. j/k
He needs to release it more often. I know I can be an *** sometimes, but it sure makes me feel better
.
Not to hijack... but
Jay, when you gonna come down to N.O.? Bamf said he wants to come again. You, Bamf and turdtle should try to make it down for next Mardi Gras (if the wifey will let you out the house).
