Question Important Support Mods...?

Hey guys, havent heard from me for a while but I'm considering purchasing a supercharger for my 2005 Mustang GT 4.6 liter... Specificaly the new Edelbrock E-Force supercharger, and I've just got a few questions.

What are some ESSENTIAL mods that I would want to get just to make my car a little stronger, so that I'm less likley to break anything while the car is under stress from the added power.

I plan on getting the E-Force Supercharger, an exhaust system (Headers, midpipe, exhaust), And if I can afford anymore.. A TR6060 6 speed manual transmission with a new 180mph speedometer. With that said... What else would I want? I was thinking a better clutch but I'm not sure. Links would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, B_Burgess.

Why would you want that garbage supercharger when a KB or whipple out performs it by far for the same price. I watched it on the dyno on monday. 08 Mustang gt with exhaust and edelbrock s/c in stock configuration only made 400rwhp. After one run it was completely heat soaked and lost boost like an eaton. Get a twin screw not a roots style if you want a positive displacement supercharger.

Ooook...? Edelbrock claims that their E-Force Supercharger puts the stock GT at 466 horsepower. Thats with everything stock. Where do you come up with the numbers of only 400 HP and over heated? They say it puts out 466 on a stock engine and actually runs cooler than most other S/C's out there...? send me a link, in other words prove it.

Besides that...(anyone)..Lets stick to my original question... What supporting mods should i look into?

Well, you're kind of in the wrong section. This 4.6 section is geared more towards the 99-04 4.6 2V's.

Besides that, are you looking to drag this car or what?

My only proof is what I saw on monday at dynospeed racing in Memphis. Call them and ask for Joe and ask his opinion of that supercharger and he will give you an ear full.

Seriously? Do you know how long Edelbrock has been around? Probably longer than you've been alive.

and how long have they been R&D'ing superchargers for mustangs?

They may be a big brand, but they definitely aren't at the forefront of blower technology, in any way.

Same thing I've said about GM. Should have used the same blower housing and internals as the whipple found in the Saleen blowers.

An eaton isn't a true compressor anyway, why use one?

Did I make that claim? No.

He made a statement of "get a brand name". I would obviously buy a S/C from Edelbrock before I would buy BigBob's Centri S/C.

Edelbrock puts a lot of time and money into R&D'ing EVERY product they put in there catalog, they haven't been around this long making ****ty products.
