Default Paint or Powdercoat?

Ok... so i have been thinking about this for a week or so and cant seem to make up my mind. What do you guys think? I am going to be painting the manifold and backing on my KB 2.8l black. Do you think i should just spray paint it and call it a day or spend the $$$ and have it powdercoated?

Also, post pics of either if you have them so i can see the differences in the two(doest have to be a manifold or anything).
Thanks guys!

i went through this too. i wanted to powdercoat my intercooler pipes but ran out of money so my friend convinced me to just paint them with Duplicolor black engine enamel and they came out great and was able to paint all the piping after the intercooler. heres a pic:

just remember that if you do decide to paint it, thats its all nice and clean, otherwise its just going to chip off and look like crap.

Yea, i know. If i decide to just paint it i am going to go over the maifold/ect.. real good with acetone to take off any oil/grease. This should give me a real nice clean surface to paint on.
What do yall think?
2 coats primer-4 coats base-3 coats clear?
or leave out the primer and just do base and clear?

To bad you don't live closer I would give you a deal on getting that Powder Coated.
If you paint remember to get Hi temp paint. Maybe even consider getting some of that Dupli-Color caliper paint. that stuff is durable and heat resistant

BraMas, how big a piece can you powdercoat? I was thinking of doing my CAI intake tube. Its heavy aluminum with a rough texture.

I have an IR cure light that I use if parts do not fit in my oven. so larger pieces are not a problem
