Default 1999 Cobra. . . Need some details

Thinking of selling my 00' GT and get a 99' Cobra Convertible. Just wanted to know what people had to say about them. Whats a convertible weight in comparison to a hard top. What should I do to stiffen it up. It wont be a dd but a street/strip car. I hopin to do a single turbo. PROs and CONs of buying it. Its red with tan leather, black top, 5 spd, 91K on the clock needs a front bumper cover asking $5995. Sorry no pictures but a pretty good looking car. What sizes rims and tires I can fit under it with the IRS, also if anyone has some pictures of some vert mustangs with rims, post them plz? Any help much appreciated.

idk about a vert track car... i would go for a coupe, and i'd try to find one with a ****load of miles on it since the internals are coming out anyway.

Well its guna be more of a street car than anything, as I rarely go to the track. As far as internals they wont be coming out for a while. Just guna fab up the turbo system first. I've heard of stock internals holding up to mid 400 hp levels. . . Any other info would be great. Thanks for the post.

^idk ive seen some 600+ hp verts...i think itd be sick. +1 on the motor w/ a lot of miles. Id do a built block and prob twin turbo. Not sure on the benefits of single or twin.

2001 Silver GT vert

you would like verts lol.

Most people that have done it will tell you to save the PITA and do the build all at once, a blower is most likely gonna be cheaper, i'd go with a TT set-up if you are set on turbo, if you really wanna go single turbo i'd reccomend a 76mm with .81 ar.
