Default Pricing Labor for built block

How much have people paid for a built block to be assembled? I have all parts for my build and motor out of car.

I was wondering what labor would be to build motor w/l MMR800 forged rotating assemble, CMS 2.5 blower cams and springs??? Motor is no in the car I can can bring to local shop.

I should have just went with an MMR built block its to late now and I needed heads as well so I got 900 bucks for a used 2004 lincoln motor with 23k miles that I am looking to forge out internals for my blower application.

I have the install of the motor covered by my brother but his time is limited therefore, looking for pricing estimates I am located in south of Boston, MA.

I am just curious am I looking at about $750 or 1000 bucks

I should have gone with an MMR block too. for my block, rods, crank, pistons, and machine work/assembly my total is around 3 grand, but my shortblock will hold over 1000 hp (not like I need it)

thanks guys! I actually did not buy the forged rotating assembley from MMR800 yet. So I think my best bet would be to take that money along with 1000 plus for labor to build block and just buy MMR 800 built short block.

This will mean I will have two 4.6 blocks. One is junk the other that is perfectly fine.

ya you would be way better off just buying one assembled less time and all you
have to do is swap everything over it call all be done in a weekend and running
it just alot less headaches and time consuming

Build it yourself! You'll still have to pay for labor for machine work on the block, but that's cheap. If you buy a short-block you won't even have to worry about that.

It's easier than you think to assemble a motor.

That was my original plan but my brother does not have anytime to do it! Next month August 8th of 2007 was the last time I drove me car because of a blow motor. I have a vert and it is killing me it is not done in time for summer.

At the end of the day, it is not much more expensive to go with a built block with a warranty.

get that car out there man!!! whatever it takes, do it!!! 2 years is too long to not drive your car man. Your car will be one bad vert when it hits the streets again. But definitly get the shortblock already built so you just put everything on it and go.
