Default Wheel decission, input needed.

So I'm ready to order some deep dish bullitt's. I know how wide I want the wheel, but I can't decide what size I want. 18's or 17's. I want to go 10.5 in the back and 9 in the front. I will sacrifise half an inch to go 18's if they're gonna look a whole lot meaner. Everyone is saying go 17x10.5 in back and 17x9 in front because that extra inch is a 300 dollar inch. I've been researching for a few weeks, and I just can't tell if those 18's are gonna be too big or not. Gimme' y'alls opinions and inputs, maybe some pics. Runnin' an 02 GT. I've got the stock bullitt's on there right now so I have an idea about the 17, but I'd just like some help. Thanks guys!!

If you got the money for the tires then 18" they won't look to big you will just have a lower profile tire. I don't recommend going wider than 265s up front.

The tires are going to be the exact same size

If you go 17" wheels, you will be 40/35 series tires
If you go 18" wheels, you will be 35/40 series tires

If you are more interested in a good launch, I would recommend you stay with a 17" wheel as you will get a bit more sidewall to help with launch. If you are more into the twisties, Jazzer doin' a bit of wishful thinking here, you will generally find a wider range of performance tires in an 18". You will also lower your profile a bit more and somewhat more responsive tire in the corners, but it will cost you.

True but if you go with 18" you will have a taller tire given same profile which would help if you got 4.10s

We carry both sizes and have extremely low pricing on our tire and wheel packages. You can also see images of the 18s on a few vehicles in our sponsor review section.

I have some 17' chrome bullitts with Sumis that I am selling. 17x9 front/17x10.5 rears. From American Muscle. They are in outstanding condition. Wheels and tires only have about 3,000 miles on them. If you are interested PM me...

They are the 94-04 kind that you need...

Pics here...
