3.73's for $50?
once again, I post up my deal of the week.
As always, this is not my item and I'm not responsible for anything with this transaction. I just find what looks like smoking deals and post them up.
as always do your research on sellers and on any part to see if it'll work with your car.

What car came OEM with 3.73's??? I think the only mustang that i know of that came with 3.73's is the new GT500KR. They might be OEM parts, but not original from the factory out of the car. They are probably used FRPP gears...and i will never do used gears.
Gotcha, didnt really see that. I wouldnt put those gears in a stang. An explorer might have been used really rough to tow stuff and put a lot of stress on the gears. Not that that would do much. but i just wouldnt do that...and would never buy used gears. I know a guy with a couple sets of 3.73's and 4.10's used and i wouldnt buy them for $50. If anyone wants a set though for that price, i'll hook you up. Just let me know.

I tried used Explorer 3.73s once. I found out that used gears almost always whine. There just isn't any way to re-install them and match up the previous wear pattern. The shop that installed them had an excellent warranty and replaced them for new FRPP gears and charged me nothing extra for labor. They told me that sometimes the gear whine is minimal and sometimes it isn't. There isn't anyway of telling until they are intstalled.
Note: There is no gear whine at all with my new FRPP gears. They aren't that expensive so I recommend that you get new gears.
