What'd you spend total for brakes?

I planned on just replacing all 4 pads on my car soon because I'm at 84K on the original everything.

How much extra would it cost to run a conversion kit for the front and obviously just replace the pads in the back?

Damn it, just when i thought i had my brake option figured out for the future. Jazzer was saying a set of good brake pads, SS lines and DOT4 or greater, which would all cost around 300 for all four, would be a very good upgrade over stock, but now im not sure if it might be worth it for some cobra brakes. Did they come with SS lines?

They don't come with them but they are a $50 option... I paid $380 for mine (with ss lines) from Buyfordracing.com... I think hoss did the same thing.

I paid 369 shipped for the cobra brakes without the SS lines.

Rip: If your going to spend 300 on upgrade a smaller system, spend 50 more and get a better setup. You dont even need the SS lines.

Do you guys have the cobra rear brake setup as well? Is it worth the money to do this? I locked up my rear passenger caliper and need to replace the caliper and rotor anyway.

Most people say it's not worth the money to do the cobra rears... just because they are so similar to the GT brakes. Plus I think there is some E brake thing you have to work out.

How hard is that exact kit to swap over?

I was looking at probably dropping some money on front pads in addition to the rears anyways, but if I can get a great improvement for less than 300 dollars or so then I'd love to do it.

Evan wants to help me too I think.

On the page for the brakes it also gives you a link for the coarse threaded banjo bolts... You'll need those too. But that's it.
