cams instead of exhaust? help a noob out

sorry for the triple post...
I dont plan on F/I, racing or beating on it in anyway...I dont need to have an insane amount of power. I just love the sound the cams make and wouldn't mind giving it a little umph here and there.

lol, yeah thats what everyone says. I wanted 350rwhp, then that sucked and I wanted 400, now that sucks too so im putting a stroker shortblock, cams, heads and whatever else on my WANT list.

I personally would go with a dyno tune when you get cams installed.

i don't think you will get the full affect of the cams with just a cat-back exhaust... the stock manifold's just don't flow well enough to get any true power gains from the cams, this is my opinion, i don't have tons of experience but just some common knowledge makes me think it would be best to start with exhaust and intake and wait till you have some more money to port and polish the heads along with some new valve springs when you do the cams.

You just got to find time to work and go to school. I go to school and work full time. Sure I give up pretty much not being able to sleep much and missing some fun times with friends but I had to make some sacrifices to have the car I do.

better start saving. You guys think its better to just buy everything at once or should I piece by piece it? I figure I'll need roughly 2k for everything I want including shorties and mid pipe.
