Very nice! Great numbers too! I'm just curious, were those Hitech's degreed upon install?

nope they where just dropped in using factory timing. we did have the margin on the intake valves machined to avoid any ptv issue. I have installed several sets of these cams and love the power they make. I have degreed them in some of my installs but not this one.

with the tight tolerances being its a pi swapped engine they have to be about dead on or we would have problems. there is not much room for error.

Yeah, that's what i'm seeing. The intake side has the potential for ptv clearence issues with stock pi heads. It seems in some cases, poeple are doing what you did or having the intake centerline retarted to make it clear. Which costs power of course.

How much did it cost to have the intake valves machined, if you don't mind me asking?

I sent them to Hitech and they charged me 60.00

great numbers! I hope to have cobra numbers one day

i was looking into cams one day... i love the power that the stage 2's make, but i'm not crazy about having someone else install them. I'm pretty good at getting around the car, i've install everything but the gears in my sig. i worry however about degreeing stage 2 cams, not for power, but for ptv issues. i mean one day i would have the car tuned on a dyno, but that wont happen for a while (i want to do more mods first)

i was looking into cms stage 2's + springs, but at that point i think i need degreeing... idk, looks like alot of thought needs to go into this kind of thing...
