Default Restore oil treatment

I searched but couldn't find anything about this on here. I was looking at the Restore engine oil treatment that you add to a new oil change and was wondering if anyone recommends it or if I should avoid it. Its a 96 with 110,000k and if it does what its supposed to (help oil consumption and cylinder compression) then I'll use a can but if theres any reason not to then I wont.

Do you have oil consumption and/or compression problems?

That sort of snake oil is a last ditch, nothing to lose, what-the-heck "fix" to keep ghetto sleds running--there is no magic elixir that can restore worn rings or worn anything else. The best it can do is mask the problem for a while--and actually if it does makes any difference then it just means you need to start saving up for a new engine now...

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is i dont see how a oil addative can create more compression and oil consumption dont waste ur money

I dont have any issues with the motor. Just gave it a tune up and it runs great. thought i'd ask about that stuff but it sounds like theres no need to think about using it.

There's no need for it, its works on old and worn engines that are in horrible shape. It wouldn't benefit you any.

Snake oil for cars. Another useless product that makes the consumer think they can get a rebuild in a can.

I never use oil additives other than seafoam and marvel mystery oil and only if I have knocking lifters.
