gotta launch questions for the drag racers.
After watching some of my videos I've noticed that when the nose of my car falls (after I launch), it's falling too fast and is unloading the rear tires. I made a slow-mo video thats' below.
Anyways here's my suspension...
Front:
Lakewood 90/10 Drag Struts (fox body)--- they are several years old and probably have 80k miles + and the drivers side is leaking
4 cyl springs cut
C&C plates
Rear:
Bullitt (Tokico) Shocks
FRPP "C" springs
UPR dbl adjustable UCAs (spherical busings on the rearend side) -2.5* pinion angle
UPR solid lowers
Welded torque boxes
Welded axle tubes
Kenny Brown Full length SFCs (bolted and welded)
I'm thinking that until I can swap out my struts I need to put my front swaybar back on. Opinions?

chances are pretty good that whatever you gain in second you lose in first. i could be wrong but if you put it back on you wont be squating hard enough to pull that front tire anymore. just a thought. How much time do you think your losing to the weight transfer of the shift? cuz i would think unless your starting to fry the tires a lot on the one two switch i wouldnt worry about it.

Lifting the tires is wasting energy...energy that could be used to propel the car forward. Id talk to Kevin Slaby, the owner of Baseline suspension. And id check out his website on how to setup the suspension a little bit better. I mean you seem to already know what youre doing, but i figured it couldnt hurt to get a professional opinion. But i definitely would put the front sway bar back on to get a little bit more weight on the front to not pull the tires cus thats what seems to be screwing you.

Bman, I am blowing the tires off and I don't want the car to squat, that'll only make my problem worse.
teej, I agree about baseline. I've learned a lot from their site. My suspension use to work well, I think it's just "worn out". Not trying to be cheap... if the sway bar will fix it for now I'm leaning towards that. Once I go back into the suspension I'll probably go all out and financially I can't swing it now.

didnt think about it that way, you have a point, but i still stand by the fact that if he isnt really having traction problems after shifting into second i wouldnt worry about it. And even though pulling the tires takes energy isnt that about where he wants to be when you just barly pull the tires? because that would mean your getting max traction without having to force the front of your car back down with wheelie bars or somthing?

The front drops for one of two reasons....... tires breaking loose or lack of power (bogging). My car has the same strut/spring combo and with traction pulls 1.5 60's with the nose held high all the way through 1st gear. Until you get some real tires on there you'll have this problem.
