Default need some questions answered about PATS

hi, about 4 months ago i bought a wrecked GT '00, i have a '00 V6 mustang.

the wrecked car i got came with no keys so when i swap out all the stuff my original keys wont start the engine up.

i was told to haul the car to a ford dealership after everything is done and get them to reprogram my keys to work with it but i was wondering if theres a cheaper and easier way to get around the PATS system.

for one i think i'll need to prove i own the vehicle via title, i just did a title transfer and wont get the new one in the mail for a WHILE, so im not sure about taking it to the ford dealership, what are my options?

Yep, with Special Forces you can. I didn't, but it is an option. Other than that, it will have to be reprogrammed at a ford dealer.

You most certainly can. There's a little switch on the dash that says "Turn off PATS", it's pretty sweet. Or you can just use a tuner.

Dealer may be your cheapest bet. It will be less than buying a new tuner, but it also would give you an excuse to get sniper...
