Short tube headers do more for high reving applications, long tubes are more for low end grunt. From what I have read the mid length or sometimes called "tuned" length headers are best for most 2v bolt on applications because the length of the primaries flow a rate thats perfect for a bolt on car.

There is a lot of research out there on fluid dynamics pertaining to headers. The length of the primaries directly effects where the power is seen at. If I had a cobra or a gt with stage 2 cams I would most likely pick shorties because all my power will be seen up higher than the stock powerband, hence where shorties will shine.

Long tubes are better than shorties or mid lenghts...period! Peak numbers might be similar on a n/a car, but the area under the curve will be better.

Bassani Midlength!!! lol they are tuned length and will probably work really well for you. Plus no ground clearance issues like with longtubes.
