Default mustang problems

alright a friend of mine has a 1999 ford mustang gt convertible 4.6l anyways the car stopped running when the key is turned the fuel pump didnt turn on easy enough so we went ahead and replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter but now the passlock has activated and of course the car wont start due to that, i know with chevrolets you can reset it by using the key by turning it on and off for so long. my question is how do i reset it?? thanks in advance

I assume you mean PATS. Dunno how to reset it and I can't think of a relation. My first guesses would be the fuel interupt (or whatever is called...inertia?) switch or the FPDM.

I think thats how the PATS works, It cuts fuel. it may also cut spark, but w/o the Pats transponder (chiped key) the engine will roll over and not fire.

I think they may be a problem w/ the with the transponder reader that is built into the locking cylinder.

Trunk, driver's side behind a panel. Red button about the size of a dime.

Okay....I thought PATS was just an interupt between the ignition and the starter.
