need some exterior advice!!
so i have a 99 gt and it didnt come with the hoodscoop so i ended up ordering one online, the people who put it on did it bad and put a black vinyl on it and it looks very unclean. i found a black 02+ hood for a hundred bucks and i was wonderin what you guys would think of a red mustang gt with a black hood?!?!? is it just totally lame or what? i hate my hood. what do you guys think??

Black on another color works fine with a shaker hood, so maybe the hood scoop will look alright. Particularly if you add some black hood stripes (single or split)
Why not just have the hood scoop painted red. Then again, if you put the black one on and don't like it, you could paint it red afterwards.
I tend to like the hoop scoop when it's the same color.
If you hate the hood scoop you have now, then do something. Since you hate what is on the car now, it seems like it would be worth it to do something about it. Good luck.

Did you get a stock hood scoop for it? Pics of your car would help to see what you got going on.
If you don't like the vinyl decal or what ever they did, why not just take it off???
The '02 hood will be no different then what you got already if you got a stock hood scoop.

i will post up some pics tomorrow. could someone tell me how? then ill snap a few. just while u wait for em tho the hood scoop had a black vinyl but at the bottom its like not totally flat and the hoodscoop doesnt even touch the hood like from the start to like 5 inches back i guess just how they bolted it. and it didnt come with the honeycomb piece, its a POS plastic looking thing. but pics with details soon my friends!

^^^ my car looks like that except it doesnt have the black stripe down the hood which i like. my car has the flat black on it but the scoop itself wasnt bolted on right so the front part of the scoop is about 1/4th of a inch above the hood. it looks tacky. not to mention there are ripples in the scoop. what do i doooo. and could someone tell me how to post pics so i can!?! i just want it to look cleannnn

open an account in photobucket. Post pics on that website. Reply to the thread on this website, and on the reply screen there is an icon at the top that looks like a picture of mountains with a sun.
