Im leaning towards a 5.0stroker setup with stage 2 cams and stage 2 stock heads. I just wanna know what some of you would do to achieve my HP goal? what intake should i run? thanks for any input.
Just wondering do you have an intercooled set up?

yes there is a drop, but you are still getting the same amount of air....

boost is just a measure of restriction in your intake, its really doesnt mean ****. if you add a tb/plenum your gauge psi will drop because the air is less restricted but you are still getting the same amount you were before.

If I were you I would go with blower cams over the smaller pulley.

The engines seem to hold up better when you free up restriction to add power rather than just upping the boost, look at the 05+ cars, they have the same internals.

Throw some blower cams in it and you will probably see over 450rwhp

I strongly believe its all in the tune till you get to a certain point. Id like to say 450hp will be fine for awhile with a good tune.
LMFAO

i would not go over 400rwhp anything over that is askin for trouble

anyone can tune a car for one pass on the dyno and make a high amount for a stock block. problem comes when you drive your car like a man and not a little girl then crap will start falling out or apart

I won't recommend more than 400 rwhp on stock bottom end and I don't care how good of a tune you have it you drive her drive something is going to break. But if you must try it on stock block, I recommend instead of smaller pulley to obtain more power, go with blower cams or long tube headers it will reduce your overall PSI/compression within your motor and give you extra 20 rwhp you are looking for. Just keep rpms below 5500.

I went with MMR 800 built block.

my car has been going for 2 years with over 400hp and seen lots of track time. I guess thats what you get from a good tuner!

You have simply been lucky. It doesn't mean that you can't or should for that matter.

way to many variables to determine if and when a car will go boom.

Correct me if im wrong but I thought Kurgan was the dude who had his stock internal gt at like 530 hp for a while...

I dont know why you guys are freaking out, theres seriosly a couple handfuls of cars over at modular powerhouse with like 450 rwhp+, one dude has like 530 with blower cams, 13.5 psi, and race gas on stock internals.

Im not saying it wont break, but it could very well last with 450 rwhp
