Can anyone point out any note worthy differences between an 99' gt and a 2000 gt?When i bought my car the guy said it was a 2000. But after a diagnostic it turns out its a 99. I also have a question about my sct custom tuner, which is programmed for a 2000, although it defintly runs much better after the tune, i cant help but think maybe it could be detrimental seeing as its actually a 99.

I don't think there was any differences at all between the two, save for a few color options.

Ya the 2000 was pretty much a carry over from 1999.

In the middle of year 2000 (June I think) they changed the water pump shaft or something. Only found that out when I was ordering my underdrive pulleys. That's the only difference I know of but what do I know?

'99 Models have almost all 1998 build dates, where as 2000 models will have mostly 1999 build dates.

1998 and 1999 are in the same century!



I'm just giving you grief, I suppose if you found out and proved to me that build dates are actually in the same year as the car, it'd be an even more epic fail on my part.

In my door (jamb?) the date is listed as july 2000.
As I said before I checked into it because of the pulley set. Was only 2 months ago so I'm pretty sure I have the date right.

Not sure if that's the 'build date' but I think that's what it said...

(car's about 30mi from me now so I can't look sry)

99 & 00 had same water pump shaft/pulley setup. It continued throughout mid 01.
