Default another tire thread

Looking at tires I have 245.45.18 rear and 225-45-18 front. Looking to buy around Christmas. I live in Phoenix Az so cold weather performance not too big of a issue. I want something that grips well and I can get atleast 30k out of. What do you think of these?

I don't like 'em, but am a VERY high performance tire guy, myself.

I would look into a Nitto NT555 for the mileage needs and would expect MUCH better traction as a result.

One of these days I will make a sticky on tires and how to help decide on which ones to buy for ones needs...... one day

Ya a sticky on tires would be very nice! Tires sizes for certain apps, best brands etc...No hurry on that just think it would be nice.

look into yokaham s drives. i really like mine and the mileage should be ok according to the treadwear rating. best of all they are made in usa. (i know it sounds wierd but its on the sidewall)

I wouldnt run bridgestone tires even if they were given to me for free...

That being said, its going to be hard to find a tire with "good" traction AND get 30k miles out of it. But, "good" is a relative word. any tire that is 245 is not going to have good traction IMO lol. But realistically, I could recommend these or these or these .

However, I have to ask, what size wheels do you have>? You will have a hard time finding tires as narrow as 225 in that aspect ratio/rim diameter I think. I see no reason not to run 245s up front, as even factory rims support that width. Hope this helps.

Find the cheapest tire (within reason) you can find with a UTQG around 360 to 400. If you could tell the difference between a $200 tire and a $100 tire you wouldn't be asking....

Stay away from crap tires but BFGs, GYs, stones, etc. are a waste of $ for you.
