Default Power Steering Pump Bolt

So I will be dropping my motor in tomorrow and am curious as to what everyone who has had their power steering pump off did with the PITA 4th bolt. This only applies to people who did not remove the hard line going to the pump. Some people cut it off and run with 3 bolts, and some people put it in...thread by thread...So what did you guys do?

I played with that mother FCKUER until it came. Jesus, you probably don't need to hear this from me, but I threw that gotdamn wrench/socket/any other tool in my reach across the garage 4-5 times.

It's a PAIN in the ASH....but really, patience, as hard as it may be is the real answer to that crap

work your way under the car, and come over and around everything else that was in the way

believe me, it's a PAIN, as you know by now, but it's not impossible to get it....actually, if you can cut a wrench in half, it'll work perfect, tell you waht

tomorrow, i'll go to my tool box, and fine the wrench we cut in half,,,,it works PERFECT,, and it's soo small there is room to manuever it around all the other bull crap down there.

hehe, I have a 10mm ratchet wrench with swivel head. I can get that little bastard out in 30 seconds flat. One just like this: http://www.uktools.com/gearwrench-sw...m-p-12033.html

Yeah, 10mm gear wrench. That bolt isn't that bad at all. It'll stay in the pump, but it'll come completely un-threaded so you can remove the pump.

Ratchet wrench baby! It's a mother to get at and you only get a small turn with that line in the way... but such is life.

Ratchet wrenches are a lifesaver in so many cases it is a shame that any toolbox would not have a set.

I can't believe how many times I said... "boy I wish I had a ratcheting wrench right now" before I finally got a set. True life savers.

Oh and one more thing, be SURE that it's the last bolt you take out and the first one that you put in. I made that mistake and wound up breaking my power steering line.
