There is an inherent risk when running Novis and Vortechs because their oil system is shared with the engine. If you are really that worried about it... just buy a new head unit.

Personally I purchased a used Vortech system and didn't have a problem (yet).

I did the $1500 kit. I ended up spending about $2200.

I'd say patience. I got mine used, sent it to Vortech for a rebuild and couldn't be happier. I was also interested in buying the parts I wanted, not some package deal.

That package sell a chip, I wanted a hand-held tuner for better results.

I saw one cheap on my local craigslist off a crashed Suburban

Good luck

Thanks for the info...how much did vortech charge to rebuild it? I would presume rebuilding it would eliminate any debris from a blown engine.

That's actually a good option too.... a new head unit is usually around $2k. So if you can pick one up for around $500 send it in for the rebuild (heard around 700) you still come out on top.

You know, I guess you could get a reservoir, oil cooler and small pump pretty cheap and do a separate system. Ever seen that done?

I'd do it if i had the money...and they need to rename that the $2000 supercharger kit thread cus you cant do it for $1500 anymore.
Not sure what you call not too much coin, but I was quoted $1100 plus shipping to rebuild my V1 and upgrade it to a T trim

What are the advantages of the different trims?
