Question Not sure what its called

Hi Forum

There's a body part on my mustang that is cracked (guess its common) I guess they call it the windshield molding or outer A pillar molding (drivers side).

Is this the correct name?
Ive done searches on google and I cant seem to find this part anywhere.
Only the C pillar comes up

My wife called the Ford dealership and they need more info and they said to her they believe you can get this part painted to match your car if it the part they think for 150 dollars.

If anyone has any info where I can find it ,I honor that very much.

Good thinking, Ill be bone yard hunting this weekend.

Do you know what causes them to crack?
Is it body flex or because they're plastic?

All I know is I cant find the darn part anywhere new, Ford must call it something other than A Pillar or Windshield molding

Thanks All

i know exactly which parts you are talking about now. I thought you were referring to what steve said, the wiper cowl. The 2 pieces you are referring to cover the edge seal around the windshield on the left and right. If it was me I would explain it to ford just how you said here and try to get the parts new. I had to pull mine off to replace my windshield and now they are not tight. Pieces like that seem to never go back perfect once removed. Thats what my experience was anyhow. Mine wiggle a little bit and squeak when you put pressure on them. They must be held on by crappy clips or something. Good luck.
