Default race question

Will my 96 mustang with an 04GT engine and a full exhaust, steeda pullies and K&N filter beat a 97 cobra with only a bassani cat-back?
any questions let me know and any suggestion would be cool\\

right off the bat I'm thinkin no because, I mena Its a 4v and its built much better than a 2v! haha but the cars having 2 descent drivers.

No. Your exhaust is not going to make up 45hp assuming those are the only mods.

true, BUT even if I have the same HP and TQ as the cobra, he'd still beat me because of the bigger engine components and what not. It revs up higher and faster.

It should be really close...all things equal! I beleive the 96-98 Cobras dyno around 260 ish to the tires. You're probably in that neighborhood as well.

I think it will be close with the slight advantage to the Cobra. Are you guys going to be both running street tires? Are you going from a dig or roll?

All things being equal, including the driver mod, I think he should win.

Both street tires and we'll be racing from a complete stop and roll start. I think he'll take me on the long run but from a dig, dang, idk. I hope I can beat em. what can I put on my engine to make sure I beat em? We're gonna bet so yea. He says 100 or more and I say full tank of 91! lol I really don't care. Anyways, what mod that is easy on the pocket will give me the upper hand, technically.
