Default Tire question

I have a 2004 GT and im getting new tires. Should I go with the 245/40-17 SUMITOMO HTRZ II 91W or the 245/45-17 NITTO NT555 "EXTREME ZR" 89W ?

I'm not sure what the tire height is supposed to be, but they are very close.

I would rather buy a set of Nitto tires over the Sumitomo tires. The NT555 is a nice street tire.

I hear the NITTOs are much better. I don't think they have the same treadwear as the sumis tho. It all depends on what you want from the tires.

Idk if i would get sumis... spend the extra and get the NITTO's... and if you want a smaller profile tire, get 255/40/17's... not 245/40/17

otherwise just get the stock replacement size 245/45/17. it will fill in a little bit more of that wheel gap

* (question for anybody) Can you run 255/45/17's without it looking stupid? Does anybody know the calculation for the wheel height??
