Default Paint prep

So I picked up a v6 bumper to repaint for my car, I want a sleep or a cleaner look. I stupidly sanded it down wit 60 grit sand paper lol doh! Anyways, I primed it and currently sanding it down nice and smooth with 400 grit. It's coming along nicely but I have a question, after I sand it completely smooth and primer it again, do I need to sand it again, or can I just send it to paint? Let me know guys, thanks.

you need to use promoter between all coats, primer and color. Next you need to use a 2k sealer. Use 600-800 to cut the primer, then seal it, then use 1000 to slick it down and its ready to paint. Do 6-10 coats of clear and 3-5 coats of color. Allow 15mins between each coat. DO NOT USE RATTLE CAN PRIMER.

The primer needs to be sanded before it's painted. 400 grit is fine to sand primer. Just seal it and paint. You can seal and paint over 400 grit primer scratches just fine with no sand scratch swelling. 6-10 coats of clear is WAAAAAY too much. 2 coats is the industry standard and plenty of clear assuming you're not going to spray bomb it.

DIY dont spray the heavy coats that a pro can, w/o runs anyway. I would do 4 coats at a min. in addition to your first mist coat
